Welcome to Alpenrose Alpacas
Our Adventure into the Alpaca World started in 2003, we fell in love with the animals while visiting friends that own Alpacas. Soon after we purchassed our first 2 and have never looked back since. We are looking forward to our new arrival in 2008, this will bring our herd to four beautiful animals.
Working together with other Alpaca breeders enables us to introduce top Huacuya Alpacas from western Canada to the European market.
Starting in the Spring 2009 we also offer commercial shearing by the " The Shearing Chef "
The vicuna and alpaca are the fiber producers however the wild vicuna has not been domesticated therefore his fiber sells for extremely high prices. Alpacas have been selectively bred in South America for over 5000 years and produce one of the world's most exquisite natural fibers.
